Last week we were invited to be involved in Knowsley Chamber’s Youth Chamber event at All Saints Catholic High School in Liverpool.
What a great school led by Anthony McGuiness and supported by a wonderful team of teachers and support staff.
The morning consisted of two sessions of career roundtables with Year 9 and 10 pupils. The mentors, being a number of like-minded Knowsley Chamber business partners, rotated around the room to have 5 minute ‘career speed-dating’ sessions with the children.
The pupils asked questions about business and work-life with topics of discussion including our career journey from school until now and what an average day or week looks like in our work lives.
We love getting involved in discussions with school pupils about careers, it’s something we have always supported as a business.
It’s important to us that the next generation be able to ask real questions to people in the industries they may be interested in pursuing, or for children that have no clue what they would like to do to explore a range of industries and potential career options.
It was fast and furious and we thoroughly enjoyed speaking with the pupils of All Saints Catholic High School.
Do what you love and love what you do!
Thank you again to Knowsley Chamber for organising the event and for All Saints Catholic High School and their pupils for allowing us to spend some time with you.
